Friday Fall Recipes


Week #4


Carmel Apple Delight


3 (2.07 ounce) snickers candy bars, frozen
2 Granny Smith apples, chopped
1 (12 ounce) carton whipped topping
1 (3 ounce) package dry instant vanilla pudding


Smash frozen candy bars in the wrappers with a hammer.
Mix all the ingredients together.
Refrigerate.
place in a pretty crystal bowl or serve in individual sherbet glasses.

Scalloped Fall Bake

3 large tart, unpared apples
4 medium sweet potatoes, cooked, skinned
half a stick of butter, divided
1tsp salt
1/2 cup honey, or brown sugar
1 tsp zest of orange, optional

slice apple and potatoes into 1/2" thick slices
in a skillet, saute apples in 2tbsp butter until light brown.
arrange alternate layers of potatoes and apple in a greased 2 quart baking dish.
sprinkle each layer with salt
Melt remaining butter in skillet.
Stir in honey and orange zest.
blend.
pour over potatoes and apples.
BAKE UNCOVERED AT 375 FOR 40 MINUTES.

Just made the caramel apple recipe. Yummy! Andy's grandma made it last year at Christmas, but she put cream cheese in hers. Like your recipe better. I will have to share yours with her. Thanks!!! And the music added a great touch :)
